These terms govern your use of ZeroKeepChat. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who may use ZeroKeepChat

You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 16 where that is the minimum age for consent to data processing. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

What the service is

ZeroKeepChat is a free, browser-based service for ephemeral conversations: direct chats, temporary rooms joined by code with host approval, anonymous random matching, disappearing photos, and peer-to-peer audio and video calls. It is provided at no cost and without advertising.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ZeroKeepChat to:

  • Share sexual content involving minors, or solicit, groom, or sexualise a minor in any way. This is the one rule with no tolerance and no second chance, and we report it to the relevant authorities.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or incite violence against anyone.
  • Share non-consensual intimate imagery, or record and redistribute another participant's photos or calls.
  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or run scams.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Share content that is illegal where you or the recipient are located.
  • Attack the service: automated scraping, denial-of-service, circumventing bans or rate limits, or probing for vulnerabilities without permission.

Ephemerality is not a guarantee against other people

This matters, so it is stated plainly. We do not store your messages, photos, or calls. We cannot, however, stop the person you are talking to from taking a screenshot, photographing their screen, or recording with another device. Treat anything you send as something the recipient can keep. Ephemeral delivery protects you from us and from data breaches; it does not protect you from your counterpart.

Moderation and enforcement

Room hosts can approve, deny, remove, and ban participants in rooms they create. Any user can block or report another user. We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms, remove access to rooms, and refuse service, with or without notice where the conduct is severe. Because we do not retain conversation content, enforcement generally relies on reports made at the time of the incident — so please report promptly.

Your content

You keep all rights to what you send. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission needed to transmit it to its recipients. We claim no ownership and, since nothing is retained, hold no copy afterwards.

Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, message delivery, or that a call will connect.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from your use of the service, content shared by other users, or conduct of other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
